When you are ready to begin to home school your children, you are going to be visited, in most states, by a home school inspector. You might think that since you are educating your children on your own, and since you have the final say in what your children learn, there is no need for a home school inspector. However, there is plenty of need.
Why Have Them?
You might be asking yourself why there is need for a home school inspector to do their job. Well, in this country, it is important that all children get an education, so states have different laws in place to make sure that this is going to happen.
If you want to home school your children, the state has to have a way for you to prove that they are being educated, and that they are learning what they are supposed to learn. Part of this can be shown and proved through the tests that your children will take at the end of each grade level, and part of this is shown through the job of a home school inspector.
Remember that these people only have the best interest of your children at heart. They don’t’ want to shut you down, or force your children to go to public schools. The home school inspector just wants to make sure that your children are learning, and that they are doing so in a good environment.
