Making Up Home School Games
One of the best ways a parent can use to teach their students is to make up games in order for them to learn in a fun atmosphere. Home school games make teaching a lot easier than fighting with the kid to do some project. If the kid can learn and have fun doing it, then continue to use that tool.
It is hard enough to teach kids at home, so when something works and the parent didn't have to threaten the child with severe punishment, there has been a breakthrough. Home school games can be made up as the parent goes through the lesson. One example would be in math.
Have a series of questions, maybe ten all together. For each question answered correctly and in succession, give the student a small reward such as a snack. Make the game have an ultimate prize like if all ten questions were answered correctly then they could have a friend spend the night on the coming Friday night.
Another home school game could be in the form of a basketball game. Have the parent ask grammar questions. Make the first shot close and move the distance each time there is a correct or incorrect answer.
